The Pipeline board
Columns from quote to won or lost, what is on a card, moving jobs, the lost reason, and deleting.
Pipeline is the first view on Jobs. It has one column per stage, in order: Quoted, Scheduled, Won and Lost. Each column header shows how many jobs it holds and, when any of them has an amount, their total.
What is on a card
- The job name and the customer's name.
- The amount. Click it, or Set amount when there is none, type the new figure, and it saves when you leave the field.
- Who it is assigned to. The list holds your active teammates and Unassigned.
- Schedule: a date and time for the job.
- Stage: a picker that does the same as dragging the card.
- Customer portal, which opens the arrival tracker for this job.
- Delete, which asks Delete this job? and waits for Yes, delete.
In Safe Mode the customer's name, the amount and the assignee are blurred; the job name stays readable.
Moving a job between stages
Drag a card to another column, or use the Stage picker on the card. The Lost column does not accept a drop, because marking a job lost needs a reason: pick Lost from the Stage picker instead. A panel asks Why was this job lost? with the reasons Price too high, Went with competitor, No response from customer, Out of service area, Not a real job and Timing, a space for an optional note, and Mark lost. Nothing changes until you click it. On a job that is already lost, the reason is shown next to the picker.
The moment a job reaches Won or Lost is recorded on the job, and its lead is marked the same way. See From a lead to a job.
Deleting a job
Delete on a card asks you to confirm. Once you click Yes, delete, the job leaves the board and cannot be brought back. If the lead's value came from this job, it is cleared; an estimate typed by hand stays. The lead can be converted again afterwards.
